Interfacing

Interfacing is a collective term for reinforcing fabrics that provide shape and structure to certain parts of a garment while maintaining its suppleness. These items ensure that the shape remains intact and prevent the fabric from fraying. Interfacing fabrics are typically used on the wrong side of the fabric, such as on the inside of sleeves or pockets. They are also frequently incorporated into collars and shoulder seams.
